摘要: AIM: To evaluate the accuracy of two non-invasive tests in a population Alaska Native persons. High rates Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, H. treatment failure, and gastric cancer this necessitate documentation infection status at multiple time points over patient’s life. METHODS: In 280 patients undergoing endoscopy, was diagnosed by culture, histology, rapid urease test, 13C urea breath test (UBT), immunoglobulin G antibodies to serum. The performances 13C-UBT antibody were compared gold standard defined positive culture or, case negative result, histology test. RESULTS: sensitivity specificity 93% 88%, respectively, relative standard. had an equivalent with reduced 68%. false results for associated previous [relative risk (RR) = 2.8]. levels chronic gastritis male gender, while high scores older age bacteria load on histological examination (RR 4.4). CONCLUSION: outperformed could be used when is clinically necessary document outcome or monitoring reinfection.
