摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect substitution Cynodon hay with banana plantation residue on carcass characteristics and tissue composition commercial cuts feedlot Santa Ines lambs. Twenty-five whole lambs were used, an average age five months initial live weight 26.95 kg (± 1.5), distributed in a completely randomized design treatments (1 = 40% spp. + 60% concentrate; 2 20% leaf 3 4 pseudostem 5 concentrate) repetitions. slaughtered day 69 experiment. variables evaluated were: without fasting (LWWF), post-fasting (LWPF), morphometric measurements vivo postmortem, hot cold weights (HCW, CCW), yield (HCY, CCY), biological performance loss by chilling. carcasses divided into eight cuts: neck, shoulder, foreshank hindshank, breast flank, loin, leg rack. leg, shoulder loin dissected muscle, fat bone. animals fed showed higher LWWF, LWPF, body length, HCW CCW; however, HCY, CCY, cut yields not altered treatments. use allows for heavier carcasses; coproducts changed assessed cuts.
