摘要: Abstract Multidrug-resistant cells can manifest an increase in epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor number along with increased P-glycoprotein (Pgp) synthesis. An interrelationship of the two membrane proteins actinomycin D-resistant Chinese hamster lung (DC-3F/AD X) terms effect EGF on Pgp phosphorylation was investigated. not a mitogen for resistant cells, nor it mitogenic DC-3F, parental drug-sensitive line. Brief treatment DC-3F/AD X resulted 30–50% decrease level phosphorylation, and okadaic acid, specific inhibitor protein phosphatases-1 -2A (PP1 2A), phosphorylation. Okadaic acid also plasma membranes isolated from by 30–40%. Protein phosphatase activity extracts grown EGF-containing medium greater 30% than that standard medium, inhibited increases. The results suggested activated PP1 PP2A substrate phosphatases. properties may be modulated signalling system transduced ligand-activated receptor.
