摘要: Until recently, most studies on microtines have focused patterns in population dynamics or demography without providing a quantitative assessment of the robustness inferred as well link between and dynamics. Developments statistical time-series analysis one hand capture-recapture modelling other hand, now allow for improved analyses. We review some recent developments methodology — restricting ourselves to methods relevant small mammals. A 5-years study gray-sided voleClethrionomys rufocanus Hokkaido, Japan was used an example explore models. then provided framework further demographic microtine populations, includingC. rufocanus. Investigating relative importance different parameters (e.g. survival, maturation, dispersal) will require done larger scale than is commonly today, with more effort devoted low density phase. Special emphasis given study-design, experimental designs tailored specific mechanisms.
