摘要: Ovariectomized (OVX) sheep are now considered to be useful models for a variety of metabolic bone disorders. The specific aim this study was determine the effects ovariectomy on structural parameters and material density subchondral ovine tibial plateau as measured by microcomputed tomography (MicroCT). Twenty-three were examined in study; 10 underwent (OVX), remainder (n = 13) kept controls (CON). These animals then sacrificed at 12 months post-operatively. Three-dimensional analyses performed osteochondral samples (15 mm deep) which obtained from medial using MicroCT. Bone volume fraction trabecular reduced ovariectomized compared control (0.439 vs. 0.483, P 0.038). Trabeculae also significantly thinner OVX group (0.220 0.252 mm, 0.010), with connectivity (7.947 11.524 mm−3, 0.014). There trend towards lower numbers individual trabeculae present controls, but did not reach significance (2.817 3.288 mm−1, 0.1). increased separation group, again fell short (0.426 0.387 0.251). no difference hydroxyapatite concentration (HA) between two groups (929 932 mgHA cm−3, 0.687). In conclusion, significant alterations architecture under observed following oestrogen-deficiency model. Despite these marked morphological differences, densities equal groups.
