摘要: We present a method to measure the regional rate of cellular proliferation using positron-emitting analog thymidine (TdR) for human imaging studies. The is based on use 3′-deoxy-3′-18F-fluorothymidine (FLT) estimate flux TdR through exogenous pathway. model reflects retention FLT-monophosphate (FLTMP), which generated by phosphorylation FLT kinase 1 (TK1), initial step in Methods: A kinetics has been designed assumptions steady-state synthesis and incorporation nucleotides into DNA, an equilibration free nucleoside tissue with plasma level, relative rates from prior data direct analysis vitro assays. 2-compartment 4 constants adequately describes uptake over 120 min leads estimation measured blood clearance dynamic curve. Results: Noise characteristics kinetic parameter estimates 3 tissues were assessed under range conditions representative cancer patient imaging. these can be SE
