摘要: Top of pageAbstract OBJECTIVES:  The 3-adrenergic receptor (ADRB3) is a transmembrane highly expressed in adipose tissue and thought to be involved the regulation lipolysis. ADRB3 also gallbladder where it may contraction. Because polymorphisms are present populations with high prevalence gallstones (e.g., Pima-Indians, obese subjects), we hypothesized that known for (Trp64Arg) represent an independent risk factor gallstone disease. METHODS:  The EMIL cross-sectional study investigated health behavior chronic diseases small Southwestern German town 12,475 inhabitants. From 3,893 randomly selected citizens 2,147 subjects were enrolled screened employing ultrasonography. Blood samples drawn biochemical analysis isolation genomic DNA. ADBR3 genotypes determined by TaqMan SNP Assay. RESULTS:  We identified 171 (8%) carriers whom 143 participated (46 male, 97 female), mean age 51.4, BMI 29.3 kg/m2. For these age, gender matched partner without was recruited from population. Genotyping revealed Arg64 allele frequency 5.9 versus 0.7% (HR = 11.9, P < 0.05) compared controls. CONCLUSIONS:  Our results indicate Trp64Arg polymorphism associated disease thereby representing genetic marker identifies at higher formation.
