摘要: Immunohistochemistry features and cross-reactivity of commercially available antibodies are poorly understood in avian species. Here, we present a confirmative diagnosis rare systemically metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma seven-month-old male domestic chicken (Gallus domesticus). The animal had multiple grey to dark-red masses the pectoral muscle, coelomic cavity, visceral organs. Microscopically, these were composed spindloid neoplastic cells arranged into interwoven patternless arrays with presence binucleated multinucleated karyomegalic cells. A associated leukosis viruses (ALV) infection was diagnosed by immunohistochemically demonstrating dispersedly positive for desmin p27 major capsid protein ALVs, but diffusely negative cytokeratin, vimentin, α-smooth muscle actin, MyoD1, S-100, neuron-specific enolase. These tumors internal organs further characterized subgroups A, B, C, D, or E subgroup J ALV, polymerase chain reactions. report suggests potential using IHC ALV chickens. role endogenous exogenous ALVs is also discussed report.
