Infrared evidence for gap anisotropy in YBa2Cu3O7.

摘要: Infrared reflectivity measurements of crystalline YBa{sub 2}Cu{sub 3}O{sub 7} ({ital T}{sub {ital c}}{congruent}92 K) are performed with the electric field both parallel and perpendicular to Cu-O planes. We find evidence for an unusually large in-plane energy gap ({similar to}8{ital kT}{sub c}}), while a much smaller scale to}3{ital c}}) is obtained planes suggesting substantial anisotropy. Temperature-dependent near c}} demonstrate clear relationship between development {similar feature superconducting transition.
