摘要: G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the most abundant and diverse type of cell surface receptors. GPCR signal duration amplitude both controlled by posttranslational modifications, principally phosphorylation. Emerging evidence demonstrates that GCPRs their effectors also subject to S-nitrosylation modification. Protein involves covalent attachment a nitric oxide (NO) group thiol side chain select cysteine residues (S-NO) impacts protein function. Progress in this area research has been hampered technical limitations measure biologic S-nitrosylation, but obstacles have substantially alleviated over past few years. The two commonly used methods detect require decomposition S-NO bond consequent detection reduced or released NO groups. In review, we summarize current for with focus on biotin switch technique related methods.
