摘要: Two experiments illustrate the way in which competition between potential causes occurs when subjects are asked to judge extent an action is cause of outcome. In first experiment, it was found that introducing occurrences outcome absence reduced causality judgments, but this effect attenuated if these outcomes were signaled by another stimulus. second a delay and could be abolished inserting stimulus The results discussed terms view judgment assumes such judgments based on associations mental representations
