摘要: Abstract The present research explored the feasibility of preparation activated carbons from lotus stalks (LS) by trimethyl phosphate (TMP) and tributyl (TBP) activations (producing AC-TMP AC-TBP) compared their physiochemical Pb(II) adsorptive properties with carbon (AC-PPA) obtained phosphoric acid (PPA) activation LS. were characterized N 2 adsorption/desorption, Boehm’s titration, FTIR XPS. Physical chemical analysis results indicated that TMP TBP dramatically enhanced S BET concentrations O-containing surface functional groups AC-TBP to (LS-C) derived pyrolysis displayed much less than AC-PPA, but they contained higher acidic on surfaces. adsorption capacities also investigated at different contact times, pHs, ionic strengths initial concentrations. equilibrium data well fitted Freundlich model. maximum (240.6 mg/g) (229.1 mg/g) AC-PPA (139.0 mg/g), resulting content could adsorb more species electrostatic attraction, cation exchange complexation.
