摘要: The objectives of this work were to describe some morphometric characteristics and establish quantitative parameters different regions the equine oviductal mucosa from isthmus, ampullary-isthmic junction (AIJ), ampulla. Twenty-one mixed-bred mares used for study. Mares selected in following reproductive phases: anestrus, estrus, diestrus. left oviducts examined with light microscopy, rights ones studied through intraoviductal molds. isthmus showed smallest luminal area, mucosal epithelial perimeter, diameter. On molds surfaces, grooves extended as longitudinal canals, reducing their depth they approached AIJ. Several small height projections, obliquely positioned towards utero-tubal junction, observed all phases. These formations may represent pockets or cul-de-sacs basal areas folds. AIJ gradually changed smooth isthmic region toward highly folded number complexity folds moderate increase same way that many parameters. Multiple curves on AIJ, creating a zigzag path lumen. In ampulla, high branched occupied most lumen, leaving area free. A linear relationship between perimeter was found. presence glandular-like structures stages studied. endosalpinx reveals complex tridimensional arrangement where each shows very particular specific designs.
