摘要: Unlike most paper maps used for navigation, digital when displayed on handheld, personal navigation systems do not show the entire mapped extent in a single view, nor are they limited to fixed map scale. The extent, or footprint of earth, that appears any given view is dictated by scale, and there as many scales zoom steps. But what drives choice scale? We investigate this question first through an assessment currently available systems, analyse consistency variation among current practices. vast range steps found across six software packages indicates absence design guidelines, consequence which users will have very different experience, with respect map, depending program use.
