摘要: Abstract Self-assembly of one-dimensional nanoscale building blocks into functional 3D complex superstructures has stimulated a great deal interest. In current work, using simple CTAB-assisted hydrothermal process, we synthesized the urchin-like WO 3 nanostructures with an average diameter 0.8–1 μm. The architectures are assembled by numerous 1D nanorods. cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), as assembling and structure-directing agent, provides nucleation sites for nanorods, plays crucial role in controllable synthesis nanostructures. Meantime, possible growth mechanism was proposed detail. showed excellent gas-sensing performances to ethanol at optimal temperature low 350 °C. Such unique may open up avenue further enhance future sensor application.
