摘要: Wild boars and domestic pigs belong to the same species (Sus scrofa). When sympatric populations of wild boars, feral pigs, share environment, interactions between suids (IDWS) are suspected facilitate spread maintenance several pig pathogens which can impact on public health production. However, information nature factors facilitating those IDWS rarely described in literature. In order understand occurrence, nature, IDWS, a total 85 semi-structured interviews were implemented face among 25 strict farmers, 20 hunters, 40 hunting farmers main traditional pig-farming regions Corsica, where be common widespread. Different forms described: linked with sexual attraction by sows (including fights boars) most frequently reported (by 61 44% respondents, respectively) autumn months early winter. Foraging around food or water was equally frequent (reported 60% respondents) but all along year except Spatially, more higher altitude pastures herds remain unattended during summer limited human presence. Abandonment carcasses carcass offal forest efficient form 70% respondents. Certain practices already hunters had potential mitigate local context. This study provided quantitative evidence different context extensive commercial outdoor farming Corsica identified their spatial temporal trends. The identification trends is useful target suitable times locations develop further ecological investigations at finer scale better diseases transmission patterns promote adapted management strategies.
