摘要: The morphology of step structures on the CeO2(111) surface is studied by dynamic scanning force microscopy (SFM) operated in noncontact mode. exhibits hexagonal islands and pits O–Ce–O triple layer height with steps mostly enclosing an angle 120°. Atomically resolved images reveal that (111) almost exclusively alternating having (110) (001) facets. Kink sites missing oxygen atoms at edges are identified to be dominating defective edges. It demonstrated low coordinated can removed SFM tip.
