Computer simulation of grain boundary spatial distribution in a three-dimensional polycrystal with cubic structure

摘要: Abstract A close packed aggregate of Kelvin polyhedra is used to model the spatial distribution different types grain boundaries (GBs) in a three-dimensional polycrystal. Orthogonal matrices rotation reference unit crystal are randomly generated and stochastically assigned volume units. The misorientation neighboring computed low-angle special misorientations selected out them. Finally, positions certain GBs under calculation determine what allows fix clusters low-energy GBs. For various classifications GBs, frequency cluster sizes polycrystal estimated.
