摘要: Background & Aims Hepatocellular adenoma (HA) is associated with risk of bleeding and malignancy, justifying resection. Patients multiple forms HA are difficult to manage. We evaluated the characteristics outcome 122 patients single HAs after surgery. Methods From 1990 2004, (14 male) underwent surgical Complications (hemorrhage malignancy) were assessed according size, number, histologic subtype (steatotic, telangiectatic, unclassified), a mean follow-up period 70 months. Results Hemorrhagic occurred in 21% cases malignant 8%. Risk complications was not related number but size (>5 cm), especially telangiectatic unclassified subtypes. steatotic had low complications. Malignant more frequent men (43%); all treated by partial resection survived, without recurrent 78 After 109 benign revealed recurrence or progression 8% regression 9% cases. No observed 11 women who became pregnant during period. Conclusions greater than 5 cm, subtypes, have an increased complicated disease; should be restricted these patients. The HAs, so do need liver transplantation.
