摘要: AIM: To validate the accuracy of four rapid blood tests in diagnosis Helicobacter pylori. METHODS: Consecutive dyspeptic patients scheduled for endoscopy at National University Hospital, Singapore, were interviewed and had drawn serology. The first 109 tested with BM-test (BM), Pyloriset Screen (PS) QuickVue (QV), next 99 subjects PS Unigold (UG). Endoscopies performed blinded to test results biopsies taken culture urease test. RESULTS: study population composed 208 (mean age 43.1 years; range 18-73 119 males; 174 Chinese). number evaluable BM, QV, UG 102, 95, 197, respectively. sensitivity specificity, respectively were: 80.2%, 95.8%; 55.9%, 100%; QV 43.3%, BM 67.2%, 97.1%. CONCLUSION: kits showed high specificity positive predictive value (97-100%), while negative ranged widely (43%-80% 47%-73%, respectively). Among kits, best (80%), (73%) likelihood ratio (0.207). a 96%, 97% 19.1.
