摘要: AIM: To validate the accuracy of four rapid blood tests in diagnosis Helicobacter pylori. METHODS: Consecutive dyspeptic patients scheduled for endoscopy at National University Hospital, Singapore, were interviewed and had drawn serology. The first 109 tested with BM-test (BM), Pyloriset Screen (PS) QuickVue (QV), next 99 subjects PS Unigold (UG). Endoscopies performed blinded to test results biopsies taken culture urease test. Urea breath after endoscopies. compared reference (rapid test, culture, serology, test). RESULTS: study population composed 208 (mean age 43.1 years; range 18-73 119 males; 174 Chinese). number evaluable BM, QV, UG 102, 95, 197, respectively. sensitivity specificity, respectively were: 80.2%, 95.8%; 55.9%, 100%; QV 43.3%, BM 67.2%, 97.1%. CONCLUSION: kits showed high specificity positive predictive value (97-100%), while negative ranged widely (43%-80% 47%-73%, respectively). Among kits, best (80%), (73%) likelihood ratio (0.207). a 96%, 97% 19.1.
