摘要: Background and Aim: The performance of existing near patient tests for the diagnosis Helicobacter pylori remains unsatisfactory. aim this study is to evaluate accuracy a new test (Signify H. pylori) usefulness Signify treat strategy. Methods: Consecutive dyspeptic patients referred upper endoscopy were recruited. Rapid urease histology used as gold standard. After endoscopy, blood was collected compared with standard. Results: Two hundred forty-four eligible analysis 121 (49.5%) positive pylori. showed sensitivity, specificity, 84.3, 89.4%, 86.9%, respectively, whole 79.3, 88.6, 84.0% serum, respectively. sensitivity specificity 87.5 92.6% less than 45-years-old similar between from primary care physicians or gastroenterologists. easy operate results are available within 5 min. Conclusion: accurate infection. © 2002 Blackwell Publishing Asia Pty Ltd
