摘要: Ruthenium(III) complexes are increasingly attracting the interest of researchers due to their promising pharmacological properties. Recently, we reported that cis-(dichloro)tetrammineruthenium(III) chloride compound has cytotoxic effects on murine sarcoma 180 (S-180) cells. In an effort understand mechanism responsible for cytotoxicity, study investigated genotoxicity, cell cycle distribution and induction apoptosis caused by in S-180 tumour treatment induced significant DNA damage cells, as detected alkaline comet assay. analysis, increase number cells G1 phase, accompanied a decrease S G2 phases after 24 h treatment. contrast, treated with 48 showed concentration-dependent sub-G1 phase (indicating apoptosis), corresponding G1, phases. addition, time-dependent manner, observed increased numbers annexin V-positive Taken together, these findings strongly demonstrate damage, changes may correlate
