摘要: Abstract Objective To investigate roles of hypoxia-related proteins in odontogenic tumors, we analyzed the immunohistochemical expression hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and carbonic anhydrase IX (CA IX) compared with angiogenesis. Methods 10 dental follicles 67 ameloblastomas were immunohistochemically examined antibodies against HIF-1α, CA IX, CD34. Results Immunohistochemical reactivity for HIF-1α was detected epithelial cells, as well several macrophages fibroblasts, ameloblastomas. positive 8 follicles, 45 48 primary ameloblastomas, all 19 recurrent Increased often found keratinizing cells acanthomatous Immunoreactivity samples significantly higher than solid unicystic follicular plexiform Acanthomatous showed increased around areas, while granular cell peripheral non-granular cells. Microvessel density (MVD) CD34-positive capillaries MVD tended to be greater other subtypes mural types Conclusions Our data suggest that molecules angiogenesis play a role tumorigenesis, tissue structuring, differentiation, prognosis intraosseous microenvironment.
