摘要: Histochemical staining for a mitochondrial enzyme, cytochrome oxidase demonstrates elongated, rod-like configurations of probable axon terminals in the trigeminal representation monkey somatic sensory thalamus. The stained rods are colocalized with similar aggregations immunocytochemically GABAergic thalamic interneurons. Other data suggest also contain clusters relay neurons projecting to cortical columns, and they here demonstrated as somatotopic units by micro-electrode mapping distribution afferent fibers. Similar can be revealed rest body reduction ensuing from cutting selected peripheral nerves.
