摘要: A method of time-of-flight mass spectrometry adapted for the analysis ions up to a required limit comprises following sequences events: (a) producing, during first time interval, pulse charged particles, (b) directing said particles towards entrance analyzer; (c) recording times-of-flight after they pass through (d) closing gating means, which is disposed in path between source and analyzer, second interval which, measured from start sufficient substantially all having less than or equal travel means; (e) keeping means closed until end third at least as long taken most massive opening interval; (f) repeating procedure above, by producing another fourth interval.
