摘要: Summary Background  The decrease in firmness is a hallmark of skin aging. Accelerated by chronic sun exposure, fundamental changes occur within the dermal extracellular matrix over years, mainly impairing collagenous network. Aims  Based on qualitative and quantitative assessment firmness, vitro vivo studies were carried out to elucidate effects topical folic acid creatine counteract this age-dependent reduction amount collagen. Patients/Methods  Topical application commercially available formulation containing was performed study using cutometric analysis. Imaging quantification collagen density multiphoton laser scanning microscopy (MPLSM). To investigate these compounds gene expression, procollagen synthesis, fibril organization, complementary cultured fibroblast-populated gels out. Results  underlying structural network young aged sun-exposed facial visualized MPLSM. acid- creatine-containing significantly improved mature vivo. Treatment equivalents with increased expression levels fiber density, suggesting that are based overall improvement metabolism. Conclusions  Employing MPLSM, occurring photo-aged human an unprecedented manner correlated loss firmness. counteracted decline exerting sustained metabolism. Our results support previous findings efficacy actives.
