摘要: The level of cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 has been investigated recently in various human carcinomas. In the present study, we examined distribution and extent COX-2 protein pancreatic tumors using immunohistochemistry. A strong expression was 23 52 (44%) carcinomas, a moderate 24 (46%) weak 5 (10%) contrast, benign showed or no COX-2, only islet cells displayed normal tissues. Overexpression carcinoma tissues also confirmed by Western blot analysis. Furthermore, consistent with results at levels, reverse transcription-PCR analyses indicated that mRNA overexpressed 7 13 (54%) but none 3 tumors. Our findings suggest inhibitors might be potentially effective against carcinomas may involved certain biological processes islets.
