SoS Methodologies for the Definition of Lean Manufacturing Systems

摘要: Abstract Most academic contributions to literature concerning Lean Manufacturing (LM) are on specific aspects of LM, while there is little discussion the overall implementation LM. This despite fact that lean principles encompass all manufacturing operations and need a systemic approach clearly shown in practitioner-oriented literature. paper proposes idea an innovative methodology able lead beyond usual concept based “Systems Systems” (SoS) currently being used context complex military initiatives. It preliminary attempt describe how main systems (resources, quality management systems, production planning control procedures, etc.) can be represented within SoS framework support rational definition path leading from corporate strategy system redesign.
