摘要: The purpose of this study was to assess efficacy and safety 3 doses (6.25 mg, 12.5 mg, 25 mg) intravenous (IV) promethazine in treatment established nausea vomiting (N/V) hospitalized elderly patients. Study participants aged ≥65 years received at least 1 dose IV for N/V. Outcomes were degree safety. Efficacy measured by time relief whether occurred. Safety the incidence adverse drug reactions (ADRs). results showed no difference proportion patients who felt between 6.25-mg 12.5-mg groups. median frequency ADRs group, based on total administrations, significantly less than group ( P  = .048). This suggests a starting 6.25 mg is as effective higher has fewer ADRs.
