摘要: In the United States, older adults have become fastest growing segment of population and are expected to double in number 70 million by 2030. As a whole, different health care needs than younger patients, some these should be met pharmacists. Clinical pharmacy practice affecting occurs variety settings, including community, ambulatory care, primary hospital, assisted living, nursing home, home hospice, Alzheimer's disease units. Although specialty training geriatrics or gerontology is not required for pharmacists adults, it extremely helpful. Pharmacy education related has improved slightly past several years but will need increase even more provide all with basic skills knowledge this unique group patients. addition, pharmacotherapy research targeting increase. can challenging, funding type available.
