摘要: 1. Plasma ethanol concentrations were measured in 24 male volunteers for 9 h after a single oral dose of 710 mg kg-1. 2. The rate decline the plasma concentration (k0; mean +/- s.d.), was 186 26 l-1 h-1. 3. In each individual, three elimination rates used to back-extrapolate over 3 and 5 periods from observed values at 4 6 post-dosing assuming zero-order kinetics. extrapolated then compared with concentrations. 4. Using k0 subjects error back extrapolation small but highly variable. variability increased length period. 5. When value 150 h-1 (a often cited as population mean) this resulted significant under-estimation actual whereas use 238 (the highest present study) over-estimation values. 6. These results indicate that because kinetics are associated substantial inter-subject slope calculate blood can give rise considerable error.
