摘要: Requests for estimates of blood alcohol concentrations (BACs) are often made when samples taken some hours after the time interest. Many believe that such not reliable because subject's clearance rate is never known and there uncertainty as to whether subject was postabsorptive at in question. In order evaluate potential errors associated with BAC under these non-ideal conditions, were compared empirical data obtained from 24 healthy males, ranging age 22 56 years, who took part a three hour social drinking session. One sample analysis each approximately 1 stopped another 3.5 stopped. Estimations BACs sampling points assuming person had constant range 10 20 mg/dL/h (0.01 0.02 g/dL/h) over whole experimental period. A variety methods used estimate volume distribution alcohol. All estimations complete absorption full equilibration total dose. The results showed actual usually within or very close “forward” based on doses. Furthermore, most measured about an cessation predicted back extrapolation result.
