摘要: Abstract We reviewed the clinical presentations and histopathology of 118 diagnostic submissions trout with infectious gill diseases from commercial farms within Ontario. Bacterial disease (BGD) (56%) nodular (NGD) (26.2%) together accounted for 82.2% these submissions. Submissions fish BGD occurred in every month year, but were proportionally more frequent late winter spring than summer fall. Chemotherapy groups was common prior to submission, success rate such treatment low (29% BGD; 21% NGD). Specific therapeutic protocols implemented following etiological diagnosis successful 80% previously unresponsive cases 88.8% untreated cases. The gills collected 48-96 h apparent recovery lacked bacteria necrotic epithelial cells, features as lamellar fusion hyperplasia similar between recovered affected fish.
