摘要: A crossed electron–gas beam system coupled to a VUV spectrometer has been used investigate the dissociation of pyrimidine into excited atomic fragments in impact energy range from threshold 375 eV. Data have made absolute using Lyman-α H2 as secondary standard. The main features spectrum are H Lyman series lines. emission cross section is measured be (2.44 ± 0.25) 10−18 cm2 at 100 eV energy. probability extracting C or N atoms ring shown very small. Possible channels and excitation mechanisms parent molecule discussed.
