摘要: A nucleic acid ligand “biochip” is disclosed, consisting of a solid support to which one or more specific ligands attached in spatially defined manner. Each binds specifically and avidly particular target molecule contained within test mixture, such as bodily fluid. The molecules include, but are not limited to, proteins (cellular, viral, bacterial, etc.) hormones, sugars, metabolic byproducts, cofactor, intermediates, drugs, toxins. Contacting the mixture with biochip leads binding its cognate ligand. may then be contacted reagent(s) that reacts covalently acids. protein detected by detecting presence reagent at appropriate address on biochip.
