摘要: An enormous body of literature has accumulated over the past 15 years implicating apoptosis (programmed cell death) in breast cancer death induced by conventional and investigational therapies preclinical models. As a result, new therapeutic approaches that directly target key components apoptotic pathways are either entering or will soon enter clinical trials patients, raising hopes information gained from studies can be translated to improve patient care. However, there is appreciation for fact not only relevant pathway mediates physiological death, many investigators challenging notion targeting best means optimizing efficacy primary tumors. Here I review some basic concepts have emerged study models, evidence does mediate effects current front line strategies emerging designed more pathways.
