摘要: Hydrogels have played a vital role in the development of controlled-release drug delivery systems. A hydrogel (also called an aquagel) is three-dimensional (3-D) network hydrophilic polymers swollen water (1). The 3-D polymer maintained form elastic solid sense that there exists remembered reference configuration to which system returns even after being deformed for very long time. By definition, hydrogels usually contain at least 10% total weight. term implies material already water. Dried (or xerogels) absorb swell, and size gel depends on how much absorbed. swells same reason analogous linear dissolves ordinary solution. extent swelling measured by ratio, volume weight) divided xerogel. If weight absorbed exceeds 95% weight, often superabsorbent. Thus, 20g fully superabsorbent will 1g or less 19g more (i.e., ratio than 20). many can easily reach greater 100. Despite such large quantity water, highly still maintain forms.
