摘要: As important as the events that influence selection for specific chromosome types in derivation of novel karyotypes, are initiate changes number and structure between species, likewise polymorphisms, variants disease states within species. Although once thought transcriptional ‘noise', noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) now recognized mediators epigenetic regulation stability. Here we highlight recent work illustrates short long ncRNAs have participants function stability regions such centromeres, telomeres, evolutionary breakpoints fragile sites. We summarize evidence can facilitate change present mechanisms by which create DNA breaks. Finally, hypotheses on how they may karyotypes thus affect evolution.
