摘要: Celiac disease is a complex autoimmune enteropathy that affects the small bowel in genetically predisposed individuals. It thought celiac result of an inappropriate T cell-mediated immune response against ingested gluten protein. The characteristic lesion intestinal mucosa includes loss absorptive villi and infiltration lamina propria with inflammatory cells. clinical presentation varies greatly depending on patient's age, duration extent disease, presence extraintestinal manifestations. Unfortunately, most patients have either silent or atypical presentations, thus escaping diagnosis for several years. Medical nutrition therapy lifelong adherence to strict gluten-free diet only accepted treatment disease. Individuals at risk this entity should undergo appropriate serologic testing, but there no evidence support mass screening.
