摘要: Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) were postulated to have important implication in progression and invasiveness of many malignant disorders. On the other hand biological role MMP-2 acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is not fully clear. Serum samples from 37 adult patients with AML had been taken before chemotherapy was administered. In addition 20 out analysed again after achieving complete remission (CR). Ten healthy volunteers evaluated as control. Total levels measured using ELISA Kit obtained R&D system. serum significantly lower pretreatment than that normal controls (p = 0.000) CR (p = 0.007). No significant correlations detected between sMMP-2 FAB subtypes, peripheral blood blast cell counts, WBCs, bone marrow counts or distribution ratio. The prognostic value by dividing into high low groups median level group cut-off. authors found survived for a shorter time those group. High among associated poor survival. Prospective studies are recommended establish clinical longitudinal measurement. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
