摘要: In the 4 years since our first article, there has been considerable progress in under- standing of pathophysiology acute ischaemic stroke, and results well-conducted trials have at last begun to change everyday clinical practice. The timing various pro- cesses cascade potential time windows for different interventions are better understood. Furthermore, importance maintaining cerebral perfusion optimiz- ing systemic physiological biochemical factors order prevent neurological deterio- ration ('progressing stroke') is increasingly being realized. Numerous antithrombotic neuroprotective drugs evaluated trials, while none shown unequivocal benefits on its own, prospects successful inter- vention still good. This will probably involve combinations treatments targeted pathophysiological stroke types, so that management offer a challenge physicians future.
