摘要: Abstract Background Empathy is integral to therapeutic relationships and person-centered care. Interventions specifically targeting empathy toward people who have a disability may be of benefit nursing education. Method In this article, we describe novel point-of-view simulation designed enhance as result acquired brain injury. Nursing students' perspectives the were examined using concurrent nested mixed methods design Satisfaction with Disability Simulation Experience Scale, which includes 18 closed one open-ended question. Results A total 384 second-year students from population 488 participated, giving response rate 79%. The overall mean satisfaction score was 4.49/5.0 (standard deviation = 0.55), indicating high level agreement each survey items. Thirty-five participants responded question, analysis their comments revealed three themes: valuable experience, new insights , standing in someone else's shoes . Conclusion Given that there compelling research about benefits empathic engagement patients, results study support continuing investment experiences.
