摘要: The status of Asian populations the Eurasian otter Lutra lutra is largely unknown. Since its designation as a Natural Monument (in 1983) and Endangered 1997) in South Korea authorities there have been trying to conserve recover species. We conducted national survey by standard methods 2017 compared current distribution those recorded previous (2010). found signs 84.5% 1,105 10 × km grid cells, with highest sprainting intensity south-west Yeongsan River Basin on south coast, where we 7.05 6.26 spraints/site, respectively. Despite relatively low spraint densities, has expanded range since 2010 colonizing urban areas. This trend suggests that could be source area for recovery East Asia.
