摘要: Polyester-based polyurethanes are particularly susceptible to bio- degradation by a wide range of micro-organisms. Many them produce extracellular esterases, which have been used study the model polyurethanes. The polymer containing only urethane links, and polymers ester links were degraded, indicating that both enzymatic hydrolysis. A polyester-based polyurethane an effective biocide was still degraded isolated enzyme preparations. Partial characterisation crude esterase preparations from four micro- fungi gel permeation chromatography has indicated possible differences in mechanism different Analysis MW distributions polyester- based before after microbial showed bulk MW, although reduced, is not unduly affected action micro-organisms, but polydispersity increases.
