摘要: Abstract Infants and toddlers spend 1–2 h a day engaged in screen media. Although most of them view television, their access to newer mobile technologies such as tablets smartphones is increasing. They are also exposed over 5 h daily background television intended for adults. This amount time has prompted debate about the positive negative potentials those media affect development attention learning these very young viewers. Research shows that age cognitive maturity, content material viewed, availability co-viewing adult more critical developmental outcomes than viewing per se. Importantly, research children under 2 years have transfer deficit whereby they difficulty relating video real world therefore learn effectively from an interactive any medium. Another concern too much detrimental developing processes. there no evidence causes deficits, relation between exposure poorer executive functions self-regulation. Also, distracts infants during play diminishes parent-child verbal social interactions. There expectation devices might be effective promoting focussed attention, but this remains empirical question.
