摘要: Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is the most important grain legume for human consumption and has a role in sustainable agriculture owing to its ability fix atmospheric nitrogen. We assembled 473 Mb of 587-Mb genome genetically anchored 98% this sequence 11 chromosome-scale pseudomolecules. compared common against soybean find changes resulting from polyploidy. Using resequencing 60 wild individuals 100 landraces differentiated Mesoamerican Andean gene pools, we confirmed 2 independent domestications genetic pools that diverged before colonization. Less than 10% 74 putatively involved domestication was shared by two events. identified set genes linked with increased leaf seed size combined these results quantitative trait locus data cultivars. Genes affected may be useful genomics-enabled crop improvement.
