摘要: Purpose To describe various endothelial migration healing patterns after Descemet membrane keratoplasty (DMEK), and to determine the contribution of donor host endothelium in clearance a transplanted cornea. Design Nonrandomized, prospective clinical study. Methods In total 150 consecutive eyes that underwent DMEK (ie, transplantation an isolated graft, for Fuchs dystrophy), re-endothelialization were studied. Of these eyes, 36 showed "stromal gap" between "descemetorhexis edge" or (partial) graft detachment. Endothelialization posterior stroma documented at 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24 months surgery with Pentacam imaging, specular microscopy, optical coherence tomography, confocal slit-lamp biomicroscopy. Results Complete corneal was seen 28 (78%) stromal gap, detachment, progressing from periphery toward center; 27 34 (79%) normal visual potential reached acuity ≥20/40 (≥0.5) better. 3 had implanted upside-down, "reversed pattern" observed persistent edema where attached), while area overlying detachment cleared. One case "descemetorhexis" performed without implantation edema. Conclusion The presence recipient anterior chamber may be required and/or recovery clarity. Re-endothelialization associated massive some form cell signaling draw cells ("homing").
