A case of serous cystadenoma of the pancreas with focal malignant changes

摘要: We present a serous cystadenoma of the pancreas with focal malignant changes, and describe its characteristic histological features. On gross examination, tumor was on anterior surface body measured approx 25×25⋻20, mm. Microscopically, most cells showed typical features cystadenoma, characterized by microcystic architecture glycogenrich uniform bland appearance. However, in some areas, tendency to papillary structures fibrovascular cores noted. These lesions were composed mainly nonmucinous, glycogen-poor epithelial cells, nuclei which mild atypia. In addition, vascular perivascular invasion focally observed. there no clinical evidence local or distant metastasis. From these findings, we diagnosed this lesion as changes rather than cystadenocarcinoma pancreas.
