摘要: Owing to the importance of clean and fertile agricultural soil for continued existence man, this study investigated concentrations total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs), polycyclic aromatic (PAHs) some heavy metals in soils selected commonly consumed vegetables tubers from oil-polluted active farmland Gokana Ogoniland, Rivers State, Nigeria. Samples Umuchichi, Osisioma Local Government Area Abia Nigeria, a non-oil-polluted area constituted control. In test control, up 3,830 ± 19.6 mgkg−1 dw 6,950 ± 68.3 mgkg−1 (exceeding DPR set limits) 11.3 ± 0.04 mgkg−1 186 ± 0.02 mgkg−1 TPH PAHs, respectively, were recorded plant samples, respectively. Among studied (Pb, Cd, Cr, Mn, Fe Zn), Pb Cr uptake exceeded WHO limits crops samples. Combined sources pollution evident our studies. Bitterleaf Waterleaf could be tried as bioindicators owing expressed contaminants pattern.
