摘要: Silencing of a Nicotiana plumbaginifolia beta-1,3-glucanase (gn1) transgene in tobacco line T17 occurs homozygous and haploid plants with one locus dosage per chromosome set. We have previously shown that the silent state is manifested by reduced gn1 steady mRNA level results from post-transcriptional process under developmental control plants. In this study, we show specific endogenous genes are cosuppressed also demonstrate timing cosuppression depends on environmental conditions once silencing established it stably maintained during plant development. Analyses additional transgenic lines revealed not restricted to showed can take place R0 containing independent loci hemizygous states. Furthermore, be obtained progeny which expressing been combined. Importantly, via mechanism does interfere accumulation nuclear mRNA. These strongly suggest operates at RNA transport and/or stability levels.
